Saudi Memorial Roundabout
About the design
Track: Roundabout
The design symbolizes the long journey the kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) took to reach where it is today.
The design concept is based on the embodiment of the three founding emirates of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia into three main chambers: first foundation emirate, second emirate and the third emirate which formed the current country. They vary in size according to their geographical expansion area and importance in forming the current contemporary country. The three structures have a boat-shape halls with two sharp corners representing the country movement, fast development and progression.

The Oath Roundabout
About the design
Track: Roundabout
The design idea was inspired by the oath that is performed in front of the king, as an expression of loyalty to him, the nation and the country's constitution. The idea is an interplay of three main elements:
- Geographical location: The shape of the model was inspired by the dimensions and proportions of the warplane, and the altitude simulates its flight with full force.
- Cultural heritage: the material heritage was expressed in the lofty mass and hierarchy represented by the values of the Saudi oath, and the intangible ones by invoking the prestige and pride of the oath ceremonies and their connection with the rooting of the concept of loyalty to the homeland, royalty, and religion.
- Sustainability: including the sustainability of materials and resources used in construction.
